| Job description and responsibilities: |
we are seeking a senior level Mechanical Engineer to pursue a career in a fast paced company where new designs become production reality. As a member of our new product development staff you will become a recognized contributor by leading the design of new electro-optic devices that encompass a wide range of technologies; plastic injection molding, CNC machining, low and high power visible and Near IR laser sources, visible and infrared imaging, analog/digital electronics and optics integration. | Requirements and Qualifications: |
• BSME with minimum of 8 years experience engineering high technology, man-portable/handheld consumer or military products.
• Enthusiastic self-starter with a proven track record of product development in an interdisciplinary design team from concept through production transition utilizing diverse skills: project scoping/ task scheduling, concept brainstorming, detailed design and analysis, documentation, and hands on involvement in prototype build and testing.
• Proficiency in solid modeling (part and assembly) and drafting. Siemens NX experience preferred.
• Knowledge of molded plastics design, materials, adhesives and design for manufacturing are all highly desirable.
