| Job description and responsibilities: |
| As the principal Academic and Administrative leader of the College, the Dean must be an experienced administrator with a record of successful academic and administrative achievements, and proven skills in management, organization and supervision. The Dean will report to the Provost and will be responsible for leading the college with vision, creativity and excellence. In addition, the Deans major tasks include the colleges administration, academic programs, curriculum development, faculty and staff development which contribute to the Universitys overall planning and development. |
| Requirements and Qualifications: |
1. An earned Doctorate from an accredited institution in Business Administration or closely- related discipline.
2. A record of outstanding achievement in higher education and scholarship.
3. University teaching experience complemented by a superior research and scholarly record.
4. Demonstrating management experience with increasing levels of responsibility, either in a professional or academic setting, including experience in administering a unit through scheduling, supervision and evaluation, and through management of budgets and expenditures.
5. Experience in the supervision of postgraduate students and accreditation process preferred.
6. Strong skills and extensive experience in strategic planning, academic program development, fiscal planning, resource management, and problem solving in complex organizations of higher education.
7. Excellent understanding the process of budget development and overall university finances, and embracing strategic planning and cost control strategies.
8. Understanding of new media, visual communication and the need to equip students with the varied skills they must have to succeed in an ever-changing media environment.
9. Experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds. |
